How can American country-rock and an Italian wine festival go together? August the 15th in 2015 there was vino instead of whiskey. The Enoteca Italiana mounted an open air concert that was a culinary and musical delight. It has a reason why in Italy this day is said to be the „hottest day of the year“. Organizers and musicians offered an unforgettable flair, with a Woodstock-touch on the riverside of the Danube-Auen in the Bavarian world heritage town. The Silver Dollar Babies (having their origins in Regensburg/Bavaria, Germany) melt down various genres and decades of musical history in coversongs and homespun material, rich in variety and lovingly arranged. The live-recording on hand shows their exuberant, passionate and joyful playing.
Happy Tröster, Christian Veith, Christian Koller, Peter Perzlmaier and Moni Berger imbibe the wide range of the British and American Roots-, Blues-, Country-, Rock- and Popmusic. They present their songs on acoustic instruments (guitar, mandoline, dobro, upright bass and – which is out of the ordinary – a Bohemian harp) in a singer-songwriter-style and set great value upon harmonic vocals.
