Sacco & Mancetti was founded in 1986 byfiveyoung wild ones in Regensburg, Southern Germany. From theverybeginningthe band´s maingoalswere original songs and an original sound, and theymanagedwithinno time togather a large familyoffansaroundthem, faroutsidethebordersof East Bavaria. The“discovery”ofthe band tookplace in 1990. Thomas Gottschalk, whohadintroducedthe band in his radioshow, drew a Chrysalis A&R manager´sattentiontowardstheirpotential. TheresultwasSacco & Mancetti`s first LP whichincludedtheradiohit“Rainbow´s End”, followedby extensive concerttoursthroughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
After the second albumfor Chrysalis the band workedtogetherwithvariousactiveindielabels and releasedsixmorerecords. Sacco & Mancettiareamongthefew German rock bandswhosecontinuousdevelopment and truesubstancecan be observed over a longerperiod. Clearlymatured and after somechangeofpersonnelthe band enthralsitsfanstodayby a wild joyofplaying, instrumental expertise and a sound, whoserootsrest in theromanticismoftherestlesssixties and theguitarsofthe wild seventies.
All themembersofthe band have a full-time civil jobbuttheirheartsarebeatingforthe band. And don´tyouhearthat!!!
After the big success of “Memphis”, thealbumthey recorded in Memphis, Tennessee, USA the SACCOS recorded their next album “Supersonic” at tradition filled CAN Studio, Cologne/Weilerswist under co-operation of recording engineer René Tinner and with guest musicians like Helmut Zerlett and Jim Capaldi.
Finally Sacco & Mancetti release „Hightime" in May of 2016 – their long awaited album no. 10. Each and every track was recorded in Spain and mixed in the U.K. and heard all over the world
