Manuel Rodriguez is highly acclaimed in Switzerland as a master of the six- and twelve-string guitars as well as being the musical mastermind behind well-known rock acts such as Stonefield, Quasimodo, Vicious Delicious and Rodriguez & Wilders. His talent spread rapidly and internationally as these bands supported top artists like Living Colour, Jethro Tull, Rory Gallagher, Baron Rojo and Heroes Del Silencio. As a result, he was asked to accompany many great artists on stage, such as Sarah Brightmann, Il Divo, Sherpa, Eric St. Michaels and Marc Storace. For his solo album, “Catch The Light,” Rodriguez teamed up again with the highly respected vocalist and frontman from Krokus – Switzerland’s most successful rock band ever – and recorded the track “Atlantis” with him. This power ballad – in the style of bands like Led Zeppelin – Uriah Heep oder Rainbow, is a kind of title track and musical eclipse from “Catch The Light,” but has not yet been released as a single. Dominated by Storace’s strong voice and Rodriguez’s unique guitar playing, the seven-minute-long “Atlantis” is a complex but catchy tune with great hit potential.
