PanAroma Served Chilled
Description
Maracator – “PanAroma Served Chilled”
“PanAroma Served Chilled” is the third part of Maracator's PanAroma trilogy and paints a fascinating vision of the artist's musical future. The album combines six remixes of tracks from the first two productions with four brand-new compositions that did not fit the basic sound of their predecessors due to their particular “radicalism.”
The relaxed, “chilled” character of the album is shaped by a combination of synthetic sounds, drum loops, and live drums (played by Nicolai Hotsch), Maracator's characteristic space guitar, and Marco Podobnik's distinctive alto saxophone playing, which gives the work a jazzy touch. As Podobnik currently lives in Australia, his solos were specially “flown in.”
Special highlights include experimental soundscapes such as in the song “Do you speak Tuvanese,” which creates a unique atmosphere with overtone singing, didgeridoo (Jürgen Breuninger), drums, and saxophone. All guest musicians are familiar companions who have also been featured on previous Maracator albums.
The album cover is once again by renowned artist Jens Rusch and presents an impressive AI-based reworking of the original motif.
