“Hoit auf mei Bua” - A song of pain, reality and a personal twist

January 21, 2023 - a date that became a turning point in the life of musician Williams Fändrich, guitarist, singer and mastermind of the band Williams Wetsox. After a serious car accident the night before, Fändrich was in hospital in Weilheim when he received the shocking news: A search had been carried out at his home because his 17-year-old son had got into serious trouble.The song emerged from the emotional turmoil of that day. A personal moment of pain, frustration, but also of the real confrontation with responsibility as a father who finds himself confronted with his own life and the mistakes of his son in a difficult situation.
“Hoit auf mei Bua is not just a personal escape valve for the experiences of January 21st, but an intense and honest look at the often chaotic and complex relationships within a family,” says Williams Fändrich himself. “It's about responsibility, loss and the difficult but unavoidable confrontations we all have in our lives.
The song was recorded together with experienced musicians such as Mario Fix (organ), Alex Bartl (drums) and Hans Mühlegg (percussion) at Studio Fabian Exter in Issing.
