An diesem Morgen
Description
In 1987, Dirk Busch released the album An diesem Morgen – a studio work of dense atmosphere, oscillating between poetic introspection and everyday subtlety. With songs such as Ein neues Leben, Jetzt bist du frei, and Das Spiel, Busch opens a musical space filled with quiet drama and reflective moods. As part of his early career phase, An diesem Morgen falls between Zeig doch deine Gefühle (1986) and Liebeslieder und leise Töne (also 1987), comprising ten carefully crafted tracks that showcase Busch’s gift for blending personal storytelling with cultural groundedness.
As the album had never before been available in digital form, we have now made it accessible online – for the sake of completeness and out of respect for the artist’s body of work. One highlight is Track 5, Kluge Leute, which ranked among the most-played German-language songs on the radio in 1987 and has lost none of its musical or thematic relevance. Track 4, Hey Mon Ami, co-written with Werner Becker, also enjoyed substantial airplay. Track 2, Du bist so leicht, was a regular feature on NDR 2’s cult program Sweet, Soft & Lazy. The chanson Jetzt bist du frei (Track 3) was personally presented by Dirk Busch on the NDR Talk Show.
Although Busch would later write more humorous songs, An diesem Morgen remains one of the introspective highlights of his discography – an early example of his ability to transform the everyday into musical narratives.
