CD Exclusive: The New Album "Dietz' Mundartdelta"
To celebrate his 50th stage anniversary, Dietmar "Dietz" Forisch—well-known in the Bavarian dialect music scene as the bandleader of "schee daneem", "a daneem", and the "Hinterlandexbress"—rewards himself with a folk-blues album that wasn't originally planned at all. During an acoustic session in the rehearsal room of his long-time musical friend Manfred Brunner, Brunner hit the record button on his slightly antiquated recording device. What started as a single session turned into several relaxed recording sessions in the summer and autumn of 2025. The two veterans received additional support from the background vocals of Karina Kaltenmarkner and Johanna Hammerl.
Thematically, "Dietz' Mundartdelta" is about life by the river, about coming and going, about keeping going and calling it quits. The album features a total of 14 tracks, including several arrangements of traditional folk songs, adaptations of great songwriters, and two original compositions. Except for one external composition, all dialect lyrics were written by Forisch himself. The album will be released exclusively as a CD in a 6-page digifile format.
