The Silent Awakening (Single) by Art Of Infinity

Some music does not return. It simply never really disappeared.

In October 1996, Thorsten Sudler-Mainz and Thorsten Rentsch laid the foundations for ART OF INFINITY, a project that from the very beginning moved freely between ambient, art rock, progressive music, electronics and atmospheric pop.

Three decades later, a new chapter begins.

Released on October 27, 2026, “The Silent Awakening” is the first completely new music from ART OF INFINITY in 14 years. The title says much about the music itself. Emerging from an almost weightless atmosphere, the track gradually develops into a powerful yet gently flowing soundscape. Warm layers, electronic textures and wide musical horizons draw the listener deeper into the dreamlike world that became ART OF INFINITY’s unmistakable signature across four albums. “The Silent Awakening” does not rely on dramatic gestures. It grows, opens and gains intensity almost imperceptibly. After 3:54 minutes, the listener finds themselves in that special place where atmospheric music is at its most powerful – somewhere between waking and dreaming. The rising sun featured in the accompanying video reflects the same idea. It becomes a symbol of light, renewal and, above all, the musical awakening of a project whose warm and organic sound has remained distinctive for three decades. After revisiting their musical past with the 2025 remix albums The Art of Cinematic Audio – Part 1 & 2, and with “Not of This World” opening the 2026 Prudence compilation Echoes in Pink, ART OF INFINITY are now looking forward again.

“The Silent Awakening” is not a return to the past. It is the beginning of something new.
