Jens Gad

Jens Gad, born in Munich, is an internationally successful music producer, composer, guitarist and drummer. Since the 1990s, he has been shaping the international music scene with his unmistakable style, which combines electronic sounds with ethnic and atmospheric elements. Jens Gad achieved international fame in particular as co-producer of Michael Cretu's music project Enigma. He was significantly involved in several albums and played a key role in shaping the project's characteristic sound with his guitar work and creative production. His guitar tracks can be heard in almost all Enigma productions.
In addition to his work with Enigma, Gad has been involved in numerous other international music projects. He worked with artists such as Frank Farian, Armand Volker, Andru Donalds and Milli Vanilli and celebrated worldwide chart success with them. He also had a long-standing creative partnership with the singer Sandra: he was responsible as producer and composer for her albums The Art of Love (2007), Back to Life (2009) and Stay in Touch (2012). As a solo artist and initiator of his own projects, Jens Gad founded Achillea and Enigmatic Obsession, music projects that stylistically ties in with the Enigma sound and combines various ethnic influences with modern ambient sounds. His music moves between the poles of new age, ethno and electronic music and is appreciated by lovers of sophisticated sound art worldwide. Gad has his own recording studio, where he promotes new talent in addition to his solo work. In 2019, he produced the debut album Shades of Love together with artist Sandra Gambino. In addition to his musical career, Jens Gad has also worked as an actor: in 1990, he took on the role of musician Roger Gallaghan in the television series Ron and Tanja. He is the older brother of the successful music producer Toby Gad, who is known for hits by Beyoncé and John Legend, among others.
