Dutch composer and producer Paul Heinerman has the courage and wisdom to rely on the sustainable development of his art – and thus creates music of long-lasting effect. His new album “Oases” is not only his third for “Prudence”, but also only the third new offering in more than a decade! But the tracks on his first two Prudence albums “The Ancient World” (1997) and “Private Sun” (2001) are of such an outstanding quality and artistic depth, that they have been used on a vast number of international compilations as well as in tv- and movie-soundtracks – and thus turned their creator into an internationally acclaimed ambient music artist. The eleven new tracks on “Oases” also profit from the fact, that Paul Heinerman let them blossom and mature over a long period. While building his own custom made studio, the man from Rotterdam developed a convincing concept for this new album. Describing a musical trip through the most beautiful oases on this planet, these tracks also radiate the positive and healing aura of these secret sources of power. “Based on a modern groove, using synthesizer technology, it is my intention to bring different worlds together in each song. I wish this album to be a example of the integratIon of cultures”, says Heinerman. Whoever hears how stunningly African chants and Gregorian choirs blend in “Homines Regnum” or how Western Sounds an Eastern melodies melt in “Japanese Fields” can’t help to admire Paul Heinerman’s art of musical integration. “I hope that this album may be an inspiration for people to live well together on this earth”, says the composer. May “Oases”find many listeners – for the word’s sake!!
