With Oases, his third album on the Prudence label, Paul Heinerman takes listeners on an unforgettable musical journey through Ireland, Greece, North America, India, China, and Native America. The album masterfully blends Eastern and Western sounds into a modern, ethnic fusion.

Heinerman demonstrates his mastery of both classic analog synth textures and modern, sequenced arrangements. The 2007 single Chimengu already hinted at the album’s sound and has been widely played on web radio ever since.

The eleven tracks combine carefully crafted samples with original instruments. The opening track, Porta Mundes, is hauntingly beautiful, while Homines Regnum features Vangelis-like strings and perfectly balanced Gregorian and Indian samples. The musical journey continues through Africa, China, Japan, and India, with the final three tracks (Across the Ocean, Indian Sunrise, Oasis) highlighting the piano and keyboard melodies familiar from Heinerman’s earlier work. The closing track, Oasis, with its saxophone, creates a meditative and dreamy finale.
