German composer/keyboardist Carsten Schnell was one of the most promising discoveries in the electronic music scene of the early ninties, ever since his debut album „Adjust“ surprised the critcs with ist complex compositions and unusual aural sculptures. On his albums „Acoustic Delusion“ and „U!“ Carsten Schnell showed that he could transcend the genre’s limitations on the strenght of his profound classical training. His last release „Moments In The Past“ in some ways refers to his symphonic beginnings but also covers new ground by putting more emphasis on current percussive effects.
