Four years after its formation in the winter of 2018/19, after quite a few pandemic-related confusions and setbacks, the Hinterlandexbress 2023 has finally made it to the Roadhouse recording studio in Upper Austria. The listener can expect a varied and relaxed mixture of blues and rock with jazzy nuances on the eponymous debut album. All 17 tracks were recorded by the experienced on-board personnel directly and almost without overdubs. The sophisticated dialect lyrics are mainly penned by bandleader Dietmar "Dietz" Forisch (schee daneem/a daneem).
Contentwise it goes with the five-headed Kombo from the Inn Salzachdelta not only around the current impositions of the life. They also use material left over from the years and stories from their youth: the visit to the first big concert in the Kronebau, turn-off experiences while hitchhiking or hippie girls wrapped in Indian robes in the fog of incense sticks.

In a fresh formation, the Bavarian hard-folk band IRXN has created a new masterpiece that will not only leave a musical mark on the soul of the listener, but will also lyrically resonate in the convolutions of the brain: In their new album "Gierig und geil", it is among other things about the eternal question of innocence and sin, which already occupied Goethe: Is sin true freedom? Or will it inevitably lead to its downfall? With this album, IRXN also succeeds in combining ancient Bavarian-Celtic mysticism with modernity and pouring it into contemporary folk music. Latest release: Kleiner Astronaut
The Leipzig singer-songwriter Nadine Maria Schmidt presents her new project: "Your musical memorial". Under this name, she writes very personal songs for the deceased and bereaved. "Kleiner Astronaut" (Little Astronaut) for Ewen and family is the song that started it all. It is the very honest and candid first recording that she recorded for Ewen and his parents on 22.08.2022 and sent to them to express her sympathy for Ewen's fate. Because she says: "When I can't find the words, I write a song."
After she was allowed to accompany Ewen's last journey with this song, she had an intuition and suddenly knew where her heart was taking her. Because sometimes you only know you can do something when you've already done it. She took part in a training course for bereavement counseling for orphaned parents and worked hard to put her plan into practice. Now the time has come! She is publishing "Kleiner Astronaut", including a lovingly designed animated film by Ute Kneisel (Illute) and Kirill Abdrakhmanov, as well as her heartfelt project "Dein musikalisches Denkmal“ (Your musical memorial). Because one is so often alone with the subject of death.

All they have to do is open their eyes and hearts to realize that happiness is everywhere." This year's Summer2Go release is all about the little moments of happiness that make up life. Four brand new songs, in keeping with the words of philosopher Kazumi Shizukasato, are released at the most beautiful time of year - summer.
The five musicians remain true to their chilled West Coast rock sound, in which they combine the groove of electric guitar, electric bass and drums with instruments from all over the world and polyphonic vocals. A new addition is the voice of Don Pedro, who perfectly complements the versatile voices of the two lead singers Sunshine Andrea and Crazy Betty.
The song "Chocoholic" describes the most beautiful thing in the world. Swinging, it tempts you to dance - and perhaps to have something sweet. The chalumeau with its clarinet sound creates a real jazz feeling. Of course, the advantages of sweets are sung about, from feelings of happiness to caffeine substitutes, and of course a list of delicious chocolate varieties is not to be missed. Mmhmm ...
