After two decades as an internationally successful musician and composer Gandalf once more returned to the early source of his inspiration and re-evokes the magical, mystical world of J.R.R. Tolkien's cult novel "The Lord of the Rings" in vibrant, multi-dimensional sound paintings. For this production, the Magician of Sounds shows the whole spectrum of his musical knowledge and experience. Supported by a bunch of guest musicians he creates this multi-layered musical epic about a year before it is being published, that Peter Jackson started working on the film-trilogy in New Zealand. As the title suggests, distant echoes of Gandalf's most successful album Visions from 1982 can be recognized.
