Blumen

After the release of the album "Tanz Auf Dem Bilderberg" in 2012, an idea was born to focus on essential elements of Felsenreich, re-arrange and present the songs in a new musical light. Customary Rock-Gigs are followed now by Acoustic Club Gigs, which in turn triggered the creation of numerous new musical pieces fusing into one. The new album "Blumen" was born. For the album production the band chose the Highline Studio in Munich, known namely for the excellent works for Escape White Romeo. Felsenreich is breaking new ground, yet does not neglect its characteristic elements such as the partition of the multi-vocal parts or the typical dark melodic roots. The song "Where's The Light Within" shows straight on rock. "The Wisdom" is shimmering with folky elements. The piano and instrumental songs "Im Regen" and "Im Licht" are tales of romance. Extravagant sound architecture or electronic distorted guitars are omitted in favour of a warm, almost intimate atmosphere with piano, acoustic guitars and vocals, bringing the band closer than ever before. On their new album, the quartet (Romy Unger, Mathias Sohn, Carsten Schaller and Renato Wesely) is releasing a relatively large number of German songs. The album is named after the song "Blumen", which is outstanding for its lyrics. An elegy in sound concerned with a farewell, with waiting in vain, yet there is the knowledge of new things blossoming from the ashes. This is the main focus of the album: "Blumen" is synonymous for the beauty of the infinite circle of life and death.
