gary marlowe, born on March 7th, 1967 in Berlin, started playing piano at age 4. He specialized in Film Score Composition with Oscar® winners Luis Bacalov and Nicola Piovani in Italy, was master class student of Luis Bacalov at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and won the Emma Contestabile Award in 2003.

This composer/producer writes songs which won him a Europe-wide No.1 hit single and many Top Ten chart entries, as well as international Platinum and Gold Record Awards. gary marlowe is a multi-instrumentalist playing piano, guitar, buzuk, saz, ud, drums, bass, ethnic flutes, tablas, percussion, and he is a singer. His largest live audience so far counted 250.000. With award winning act Rasca Cocous, he opened for Iggy Pop and The Ramones. In 2004 he worked with Jam&Spoon feat. Rea on a hit single.

Focussing on film music, gary marlowe also creates music concepts for museums, art shows and adverts, as for Levi's (BBH London), Jung v. Matt, Red Bull, O'Neill, Swatch, Hewlett Packard, Pergamon Museum Berlin & Louvre Paris, Burton and T-Mobile. Most recently: Ancestry, nationwide TV campaign in the U.S.A. and music for the Biennale di Venezia 2009 exhibition of Richard Nonas.

gary marlowe records with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Trieste, formed by some of Italy's best musicians, who play also in concert and opera houses like La Fenice in Venice and Teatro Verdi in Trieste.

2008 score for the adaptation of Charlotte Link's bestselling novel “Das Echo der Schuld”.
