2030 - Aufstand der Alten is a German television film from 2007. Broadcast in January 2007, the three-part film was announced by the broadcasting television station ZDF as a docu-fiction about demographic development or even as a "demographic thriller" (according to editor-in-chief Nikolaus Brender). The three parts are subtitled "The Hostage Taking," "Life in the Underground" and "The Secret in the Desert." 2030 - Aufstand der Alten was nominated for the German Television Award in the category "Best Television Film/Multi-part", as well as for the Golden Rose of Lucerne in the category best drama, and was awarded the Ecran d'Argent de la fiction at the Festival Européen des 4 Ecrans in Paris.
