About

Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Christoph Zirngibl

The movie: No job is too absurd for Jacob (Wotan Wilke Möhring): in a glitter suit with stick-on sideburns, he sings Elvis Presley songs for crooning old ladies—not exactly the musical Olympics, but he needs the money. Now Jacob has the job of transporting a valuable stud ram to Norwayby car, because the ram doesn’t like flying. Just before he sets off, Jacob’s long-forgotten lover Julia (Julia Koschitz) calls and announces the arrival of her—their12-year-old daughter May (Sofia Bolotina). The stubborn teenager has taken it into her head to visit the father she has never met. Jacob is dumbfounded: he’s a father?! Shortly thereafter, his daughter disembarks her plane. So May has to come along to Norway too. However, with an angrily bleating ram in the back and an arrogant “goat” in the passenger seat, Jacob has much more than he can cope with. As if this wasn’t enough, May makes it quite clear that as the highly talented daughter of a famous opera singer, she is accustomed to a more comfortable lifestyle. This is not what she imagined her father to be like! And on top of all of this, she considers the songs emanating from the CD player to be acoustic garbage. In order to avoid further mockery, Jacob thinks it wiser not to admit that it is he himself singing these songs. The further the north their journey takes them, the more defiant May becomes—and the more annoyed Jacob.
