The great era as a film composer for Peter Thomas began in 1961 with the Edgar Wallace film "The Strange Countess" and soon one filmmusic highlight followed another. The series seems endless: The Squeaker, The Ringer, The Traitors Gate,The Trygon Factor, Room Thirteen, The case Of The Frightened lady, When The Gangs Came To London, The White Spider, the Jerry Cotton films, Space Patrol Orion, Babeck, Hotel Royal and many many more.

Amazingly enough, this CD contains mainly previously unreleased numbers, which were written for crime thillers in the early Sixties. The popular and successful Edgar Wallace series gave him enormous room to unfold his talents, for the life's blood of these films was diversity and surprise. Thanks to their inspired musical arrangements, and performed by the "Peter Thomas Sound Orchestra", even today these recordings seem to be way beyond their time.
