On Decebal Badila's debut album "Nothing But Bass" you find lavishly arranged tunes of great sonic and harmonic beauty – and each single note was played on the strings of the bass! Badila does not see his tracks as mere showcases for his breathtaking playing abilities, but invests all his soul and musicality into his composing. Badila was born in Constantia/ Romania in 1968 and studied acoustics at the University of Bukarest before moving to Cologne/Germany in order to study jazz bass playing at the Musikhochschule Kšln. "Nothing but Bass" will definitely help to establish this enourmously talented musician as one of the internationally leading artists on his instrument.
