The mood of 'Foreign Objects' is a well-balanced mixture of electronic music with aspects of contemporary pop music and yet - an oboe or an english horn is the main instrument.
Through-out the record, spheric sounds as well as driving, modern grooves are in perfect harmony with these -at least inelectronic music- quite rare traditional instruments.
The basic melancholy mood supplied by an oboe is counterparted and supportedat the same time - by Becker's very finely balanced harmonies.
Thus,'ForeignObjects', the title track of the CD, leads the listener deep into an arabic atmosphere and yet, with the help of a breath-driven electronic synthesizer, reminds one of the ancient roots of double -reed woodwind instruments.
SVENSSON is the projects' name and the new album 'Foreign Objects' is the third release of oboe, english horn and keyboard player Tobias Becker. Becker has beeen working both as producer of film music and as studio/live musician for more than a decade now - his latest projects included working with electronic legend Klaus Schulze for the 'KS - Contemporary Works' box album.
