In 1995 renowned documentary movie producer Joe Weineck surprised the New Instrumental and electronic music scene with his debut album for Prudence, "Acoustic Landscapes". His extraordinary soundpaintings excited critics, fans and fellow musicians on both sides of the Atlantic. To this day tracks from this album are well requested for ambient and electronica compilations.
Music is for the film producer and composer Joe Weineck a passion that he nurtured for many years only as chief of a recording studio and producer. It needed an eventful trip to New Zealand to motivate Weineck to record his own debut solo album. Inspired by the impressions of his journey Weineck started to compose in the manner of a "sound painter": "Acoustic Landscapes" is one of the most interesting discoveries in electronic music.
