Members of the same band very often not only resemble each other for their similar musical tastes--which are easy to recognize from their records--but they also have an easily recognizable uniform look to them. They may be angry men or muscle boys or big hair bands--the possibilities are endless.
However, tastes often vary and there really is no need for the uniform look, and IFF seems to have taken the idea that diversity helps into account when they set out to form the band. The group is a meeting of guitar rockers, metal heads, keyboard-didgeridoo-sound-fetishists and heavy duty drummers, which all results in an interesting mix of crossover hard and heavy rock which is impossible to file away stylistically.
And that is a good thing. IFF's music will never be easily explained with just a few words. Their sound is a multi-dimensional union of different ideas and influences. Despite all that, IFF's motto will always be:
Iff it doesn't rock, it sucks!
