Prudence welcomes another renowned artist on its roster: Gandalf, like many Prudence artists, is a real painter of sonic landscapes, his music is mainly inspired by the beauty of nature and by the art and myths of various cultures.
Being one of the masters in his genre, the multi-talented musician, composer and producer has created his own very unique musical style. He blends a variety of acoustic instruments (guitars, sitar, saz, charango, bouzuki, piano, balaphon, bells & percussion) with spherical keyboard-sounds and weaves folky tunes into powerful symphonic arrangements. Gandalf is a magician of sounds from the soul, his colourful compositions spread peace and harmony and are a balm for the heart. Many people who feel exhausted from the demands and the stress of modern life find comfort and healing by listening to it.
The artist´s vision, to dissolve the boundaries between musical categories and styles and to create music that reaches people indepentent from their language or colour of their skin, has made him become one of todays internationally most successful musicians from Austria.
Besides quite a number of CD-releases Gandalf has composed music for theatre and films. He has also worked with a symphony orchestra ("Symphonic Landscapes", 1990) and played with international artists like the legendary former Geneses guitarist STEVE HACKETT. His CD´s are being played on radio-stations all over the planet, in the USA his music has been named "21st Century Classical Music".
