„Portmanteau“ are two musicians from Weilheim in Bavaria: Taison Heiß (Lali Puna, Dolby Buster, etc.) and Greulix Schrank (Schweisser, Iso68). They bring togehther electronic sounds and real drums, record and produce music in their own studio and write scores for theatres. Since more than six years, they are also performing live as a band, together with groups like “Console” and “13 & God”. After their first EP “Cosy”, which was released in 2002, their new album is distributed through “biegen & brechen”. “Akja”, which was mainly recorderd and mixed in the famous “Uphon”-studio, will be available as a Digipack and on heavy 180g-vinyl.
