Katharina Demirkan has German and Turkish roots. Her mother comes from Turkey, her father from Munich. Together with her family, she has lived for several years in Dasing near Augsburg. Katharina 's mother tongue is German. But she also speaks fluent Turkish and English. Only 17 years old, Katharina can already look back on a long history in the media-business. At the age of 11 she began modeling professionally. And still today she is met occasionally in fashion shows and photo shoots for advertising and commercials. Even earlier, however, she began to sing, has appeared as a small child at family celebrations and quickly lost her stage fright and developed a big appetite for music. Katharina was able to prove her stage presence and sheer joy of performing in two seasons of the talent show DSDS.  Unfortunately, she was denied entry into the finals. But Katharina isn’t throwen off the track by such small failures. Spurred by the support of thousands of fans and by her own unbroken will to win, she took her career in her own hands. She sought after songwriters, found a producer team and made her dream of an own recording come true. And she did entirely without the help of powerful TV-Casters and jurors. Katharina is convinced: “before the success the gods have set the sweat”.
