The "Hunters Of Pure Sound" was formed in 2001. Initially, their musical style in the area of punk, ska-punk and punk rock found itself. With the growing understanding of music, especially in the non-commercial sector, as well as an extraordinary grasp of the musicians in the individual, dominated their later progressive rock style. Founding member of the band was the singer and rhythm guitarist Paul . From early 2003 HOPS also denied the right venues in the area south of Munich, to a small tour in 2004 as a support act of "Banana Fish Bones." A highlight of 2005 was a charity concert in aid of SOS Children's Village School of Music in Munich Geretsried. In 2009 / 2010 after some personal changes and  many concerts they recorded 11 new songs in the  Dreamscape studio in Munich, engineered by Jan Vacik. The debut album will be released in October 2011 on the label R'n'D
